The Community Asthma Prevention Program
Welcome to the Community Asthma Prevention Program (CAPP) of Philadelphia. For more than 10 years CAPP has served children with asthma, their parents, and asthma caregivers. CAPP has also worked in many Philadelphia communities to offer free asthma education, home visits and training to school personnel and primary care providers. CAPP services
The Community Asthma Prevention Program provides a community-driven asthma management program that is comprehensive and sustainable. Our services include:
- Community asthma education classes in schools, churches, daycare centers and other locations throughout the city
- A Home Visitor Program in West, Southwest, and North Philadelphia zip codes, to address the home environment of children with asthma.
- A School Program that provides continuing education asthma workshops for certified school personnel including school nurses, coaches and teachers in North Philadelphia.
- Primary Care Provider Education for primary care practitioners and their staff in the North Philadelphia area of the city. .
