How to Arrange a Transport

To arrange a transport, please call 215-590-2160 from outside Children's Hospital or ext. 4-2160 within the Hospital. This is a direct connection to our 24-hour communications center.

Your transfer request begins with your call to the communications center at 215-590-2160 or ext. 4-2160. We will respond to your call as follows:

Children's Hospital's Emergency Transport Team

Our team provides specialized pediatric transport services to and from The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia . A medical command physician supervises all transports and is available at any time for consultation. The transport team consists of specially trained transport personnel, which may include:

How patients are transported

Patients may be transported by ambulance, rotor wing or fixed wing aircraft as determined by the specific situation.

What we'll need from you

To facilitate patient transfer, please have copies of the patient's medical record, X-rays, laboratory data and other pertinent information available for the transport team when they arrive.
