Welcome to the Division of Endocrinology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As one of the largest pediatric endocrinology and diabetes centers in the nation, we have a wide referral base, with patients from all over the world. As a top pediatric medical center, we work with primary care providers, sub-specialists within and outside of CHOP, and families to provide absolutely the best care for your child.
Clinicians in the Endocrine Department evaluate and treat a broad range of disorders including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary problems, sexual maturation and calcium regulation. Additionally, we manage disorders causing hypoglycemia including glycogen storage disease and fatty acid oxidation disorders.

The Diagnostic and Research Growth Center is a center dedicated to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of children ages birth - 18 years with growth and pubertal disorders. The Growth Center team of professionals consists of board certified pediatric endocrinologists, endocrinology nurse practitioners and clinical research coordinators who provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with growth failure in addition to offering the latest treatment modalities through active participation in clinical research.
The Hyperinsulinism Center specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of children with hyperinsulinism, also called persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia of infancy (PHHI), a disorder that causes low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Our multidisciplinary team evaluates and treats children with hyperinsulinism from around the nation and the world.
The Diabetes Center for Children (DCC) cares for about 2,000 children between the ages of birth and 21 years. A large multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers and nutritionists provide family focused care to patients with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. The Center for Bone Health was established to provide coordinated, comprehensive care to children with bone health concerns. This includes children with evidence of weak bones and children who are at risk for weak bones because of such factors as immobility, modified/restricted diets or chronic steroid use.
