The Philadelphia area offers a number of housing resources to families undergoing treatment in the area. Two of the most popular choices are described here.
Two area Ronald McDonald Houses, located in Philadelphia and nearby Southern New Jersey, serve as a home away from home to many families receiving care during pregnancy at the Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment. Each facility maintains beautiful private rooms as well as shared living rooms, kitchen facilities and laundry rooms. Note: To secure a reservation at either of these facilities, please obtain a referral from a member of the treatment staff at the Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment.
This nonprofit program provides free or minimal cost lodging at private volunteer host homes for out-of-town families who travel to Philadelphia to obtain medical care. For additional information, please call 610-660-6667 or visit http://www.hostsforhospitals.com/.
If you will be in Philadelphia for an extended stay, you may be able to take advantage of our area’s many cultural and recreational activities. These Web sites provide information about museums, restaurants, public transportation and weather patterns.
