Injuries are the leading cause of death and disability to children in the United States. The Kohl's Injury Prevention Program at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is dedicated to preventing injuries in children. Our multi-faceted program educates families about safety and offers safety devices to increase safety practices in the community.
Dedicated to keeping kids safe
CHOP is proud to be part of the Kohl’s Cares family. Through Kohl’s generous support, the Injury Prevention Program is able to offer expert online information and resources, local kids safety events in the greater Philadelphia area, a Safety Center store and a mobile safety van offering child safety products such as car seats, bike helmets and home safety products at low prices. In addition, our health educators provide free injury prevention information.
Car seat safety
In the car, childhood injury prevention starts with having the right safety restraints. Our diverse resources can help you choose the proper child safety seat for your infant or toddler. We offer car seat safety information, including car seat installation tips and videos, and a list of car seat inspection stations in the greater Philadelphia area.
Kids safety activities
Download our free Injury Prevention and Safety activity book to help educate your children through fun, interactive coloring, puzzles and games. Kids will learn about fire and home safety, bike safety and more from educational word jumble, doodle pages, mazes, etc… Complete them all and become a Certified Super Safe Kid with your own certificate!
