Kohl's Injury Prevention Program

Child Safety Information

A child’s curiosity peaks at 21 to 23 months. So do childhood injuries. On an average day in the United States, 15 children die from unintentional childhood injuries. The Kohl's Injury Prevention Center aims to reduce childhood injury by providing injury-prevention information and safety products at reduced prices.

Injury-prevention information

We offer safety information about various injury-prevention topics including fire safety, gun safety, school bus safety, bike safety and playground safety. Explore the different topics, listed in the left column, to help keep your child safe.

Car seat safety

Our Car Seat Safety section provides up-to-date information about child safety seats, booster seats and the proper use of seat belts, to help keep you and your family protected. You will also find information about local car seat inspection stations where you can bring your child safety seat to be inspected for proper installation and to learn how to properly install it. Local car seat inspection stations are conveniently located in Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs.

Safety products

Our Safety Center aims to reduce childhood injury by providing safety products at affordable prices, along with free, personalized education and hands-on practice. Visit the Safety Center at CHOP for more information.

In addition, our Mobile Safety Center — a van that takes our Safety Center on the road — travels throughout the Philadelphia area, and to parts of the Lehigh Valley and southern New Jersey, making affordable safety resources available throughout the community.
