The Impact of Disasters on the Health of Children

A vital concern in pediatric global health is the impact of disasters on children and how pediatricians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, nutritionists and other professionals can be prepared for the challenges of taking action to mitigate the long-term effects of these episodes.

The 3rd Annual Pediatric Global Health Symposium focused on communicating and informing pediatric health professionals on the critical issues, practices and courses of action associated with disaster management around the world and its extreme impact on children.
