Recently, Henry Welch, MD, and Rodney Finalle, MD, gave global health updates and lectures to CHOP pediatric residents at their noon conference.
Starting in April 2011, former CHOP Global Health fellow Lara Antkowiak, M.D., established a partnership with LLLI in the Dominican Republic to integrate the LLLI curriculum into the NPS breastfeeding program.
The current CHOP Global Health fellow in Africa, Matt Kelly, MD, forged a partnership with a regional hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa, to develop a program focused on improving developmental skills in babies and toddlers at Sparrow Village, an orphanage for HIV-affected children in South Africa.
CHOP Global Health is partnering with the CHOP Vaccine Education Center to pilot a research project that aims to understand vaccine acceptance in the Dominican Republic and Botswana.
