Said joined the IPS team in July 2012. He previously worked at the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians where he developed a distinguished record as an interpreter and translator for French and Arabic-speaking communities, mentor for the Project Bridging Cultures program at South Philadelphia High School, social worker for the Vocational literacy program and instructor for the Welcoming Center West small business program.
Said has also worked with the Nationalities Services Center as an interpreter for many agencies; including the PCA, USCIS, Family Support Services, Child Link and Career Team. As a certified ESL teacher, he taught English to high school students in Morocco and later taught Arabic and French at the Berlitz language schools in Philadelphia.
Said is excited to be living in Philadelphia and is an avid 76ers and Phillies fan.
