In additional to her role as a medical director of International Medicine, Dr. Evans is the associate chief and director of Quality and Patient Safety, Division of Neonatology at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She also is a professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
As a medical director for International Medicine, Dr. Evans serves as an integral team member in CHOP’s Middle East initiatives and supports new business opportunities to expand CHOP’s global impact. Through her external focus on relationships with international partners such as healthcare systems, embassies, insurance providers and individual physicians, she acts as a consultant and liaison to improving pediatric medical care around the world.
Dr. Evans is a founder and chair of the Children’s Hospital Neonatal Consortium, a benchmarking and quality improvement organization of 28 U.S. children’s hospital NICUs. Dr. Evans obtained her Doctorate of Medicine (MD) at Dalhousie University Medical School in Nova Scotia, Canada. She completed her residency at University of Minnesota Hospitals, and completed her fellowship at Grace Maternity Hospital, an associated hospital of Dalhousie University.
