Dr. Finalle’s distinguished career at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) as a clinician, educator, administrator and advocate for children’s health has been marked by a commitment to extend CHOP’s expertise and resources to children far beyond Philadelphia.
In 2003, Dr. Finalle launched CHOP’s Global Health Program, which provides clinical services for children and ongoing education for healthcare providers in resource scarce communities in Latin America and Southern Africa. These international humanitarian programs work to develop sustainable care models with global partners that will have lasting impact on children’s health. Under Dr. Finalle’s leadership, CHOP also hosts an annual pediatric global health conference, attracting healthcare leaders from around the world. Dr. Finalle also leads one of the few Pediatric Global Health Fellowship programs in the United States.
As a medical director in International Medicine, Dr. Finalle guides initiatives in Latin America and supports new business opportunities which promote CHOP’s world-renowned care and education programs. He works with the International Patient Services staff and focuses his attention to developing new relationships with international partners such as healthcare systems, embassies, insurance providers and individual referring physicians to assist those who seek exceptional pediatric medical care at CHOP.
Dr. Finalle obtained his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed pediatric residency at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
