Ramona is an active team member in International Patient Services (IPS), as she assists the clinical coordinators in ensuring access of CHOP services for international patients and as she ensures each family has an excellent experience. She hopes to help The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) execute its mission by assisting international patients access CHOP’s healthcare services.
Prior to joining CHOP, Ramona worked in project management with Fox Chase Cancer Center and quality assurance with McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson. Ramona is also the current president of the Maghreb-American Health Foundation, an alliance focused on helping children from the Maghreb region receive care in the U.S.
Originally from Algeria, Ramona came to the United States in 1998. She received her bachelor's degree in electronic engineering and her master's degree in control systems from the University of Science and Technology of Oran in Algeria, and she holds a master certificate in quality assurance and global affairs from Temple University. Ramona is multilingual in English, Arabic and French.
