More No. 1 rankings than any other hospital in nation

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) ranked No. 1 in more specialties than any other hospital in the nation, earning it top honors in U.S.News & World Report’s 2012-13 survey of Best Children’s Hospitals.

CHOP ranked first in the nation for cancer, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, pulmonology and urology, and in the top four for every other pediatric specialty ranked by the U.S. News survey.

The Hospital also again tied for the No. 1 overall ranking on the U.S. News Honor Roll. CHOP was one of only two children’s hospitals in the nation to be recognized in the Top 10 in all 10 pediatric specialty areas.

CHOP earned high marks for its dedication and expertise across multiple specialties, the quality of its treatment, survival rates, research and other factors. The hospital was also recognized for its strong reputation with specialists and excellent nurse-patient ratios. Learn more »
