Cardiac Center

The Cardiac Center at Children’s Hospital is renowned for expertise in complex cardiac surgery, specialized anesthesia for pediatric cardiac patients and diagnostic and interventional cardiology. Cancer Center

The Cancer Center at Children’s Hospital offers the most advanced treatments, including the world’s first proton beam therapy service exclusively for childhood cancers. As a member of the prestigious Children’s Oncology Group, the Center also offers a wide range of clinical trials.

Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment

For pregnancies complicated by birth defects, the Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment is one of few programs in the world that provides the complete spectrum of care from expert prenatal diagnosis, surveillance, fetal therapy, delivery and care after birth. The Center is home to the Garbose Family Special Delivery Unit, the world’s first birth facility within a pediatric hospital, created exclusively for women carrying babies with birth defects.

Neurosciences

Children’s Hospital boasts one of the largest, most comprehensive pediatric neurosciences services in the U.S. Our Pediatric Epilepsy Program specializes in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of infants, children and adolescents with seizures and epilepsy. Our Neuromuscular program is a world leader in the evaluation and treatment of all types of neuromuscular disorders. Long recognized as a world leader in neurosurgery, Children’s Hospital brings special expertise to the treatment of brain tumors in children.

Orthopaedics

At the leading edge of orthopaedic care, surgeons at Children’s Hospital have pioneered more than 15 surgical procedures for pediatric orthopaedic conditions, including limb-sparing surgery for cancerous tumors of the bone. The Hospital also offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary program for treatment of spinal deformities and Thoracic Insufficiency Syndrome.

Center for Congenital Hyperinsulinism

Children’s Hospital is home to one of the world’s only programs for congenital hyperinsulinism (HI). Surgeons at Children’s Hospital have performed more than 200 operations in the past decade for this rare condition. The Center employs advanced PET scanning technology to diagnose focal HI lesions, resulting in complete surgical cures for many children affected with this form of HI.
