Your Stay at CHOP

Our guiding philosophy of family-centered care leads our staff to consider every aspect of Children’s Hospital as it will be experienced by the families who come here.

Our Main Campus facilities

Children’s Hospital’s surgical facilities, diagnostic areas and patient care units are among the most sophisticated anywhere. Patient rooms are comfortable and child-friendly; buildings are colorful and filled with light. We offer many amenities, services and welcoming spaces to ease the strain of being far from home and coping with a child’s illness.

One such space is the ADA CARing for Kids Foundation Welcome Center, located on the second floor of the Richard D. Wood Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center. It offers comfortable seating, computer access and valuable information about resources for patients and families. An International Care Coordinator will greet all international patients and their families in the Welcome Center as they arrive at CHOP.

Language services are always available

Our patient population is highly diverse, as is our staff. This rich multicultural environment helps families from many places feel more comfortable, wherever they’ve come from. For families who prefer to receive information in a language other than English, we offer extensive interpreter services. In the last year alone, we provided more than 30,000 interpreter encounters in more than 50 languages.
