Research and Training

The pathologists are all engaged in research activities revolving around their clinical interests. The members of the faculty serve as both investigators as well as working collaboratively with other faculty at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the University of Pennsylvania and other academic institutions. Pediatric fellows and rotating residents from multiple departments are encouraged to participate in the ongoing research within the department.

The Department supports up to four pediatric pathology fellows each year. Training is obtained in all aspects of pediatric pathology.
