Minimum Required
approximately 1 gm (size of pea) of Stool; swab (See Remarks)
Transport
When specimen submitted in Enteric Transport Media send at room temperature within 72 hours. If fresh (unpreserved)specimen or specimen submitted on swab, send within two (2) hours at room temperature as cells lyse over time.
Stability
Dependent on specimen type. Refer to Transport.
