SPECIMEN COLLECTION INFORMATION:
Genital, throat or rectal specimen and inoculate Jembec™ Plate at site of collection OR double swab culture device

Jembec™ plates are available from the Microbiology Laboratory. Prior to inoculation, the plate must be brought to room temperature. Directly inoculate the surface of the plate with a swab in a "Z" manner. Place pill in the recessed well and snap the lid closed. Make sure the plate is properly labeled (not the transport bag). If further instructions are needed, contact the Microbiology Lab at x42330.
