Bone Marrow: best submission is in an Isolator ™ tube (available thru the Microbiology Laboratory). If Fungal and AFB testing is also needed, all testing can be performed from the Isolator ™ tube.
This test order should only be used for normally sterile body fluid submissions, e.g. cerebrospinal/shunt fluid, pleural fluid, pericardial fluid, amniotic fluid and tympanocentesis fluid.
