    External Samples: Centrifuge and separate serum from cells and freeze. Ship frozen serum on dry ice so it remains frozen. (See remarks)

Internal - This test is run in a batch. Bring samples to the Pathology Department immediately Monday - Friday from 0800-1700. After hours take to Central Lab Services. This test is NOT available on holidays, weekends or after normal working hours. Must be submitted on a fully completed Request Form for Anti-Enterocyte Staining, Requisition Form Anatomic Pathology - Client, and Anti-Enterocyte Antibody (AEA) Clinical Form. Include all required information.

External - Same as above except the specimen should be centrifuged, separated and frozen at -70 prior to shipment. Specimen should be sent by overnight carrier Monday through Thursday. Do not send specimens on Fridays, weekends or holidays. Tissue must remain in frozen state during shipment. Ship all frozen tissue with ample dry ice in a Styrofoam box and clearly mark the outside of the box FROZEN TISSUE"."
