Remarks
Internal - Take to Pathology Monday - Friday 0730-1700. After 1700, weekends and holidays take to Central Lab services for refrigeration. If specimen pick up is required, schedule with the E.M. Technician at 4-1740 at least 24 hours in advance. No after hour, weekend or holiday specimen pickup is available. Must be submitted on a fully completed Surgical Pathology Request Form. Include all required information.External - Send to Anatomic Pathology Monday through Thursday. Specimen should be sent by overnight carrier. Do not send specimens on Fridays, weekends or holidays. Must be submitted with a fully completed Requisition Form Anatomic Pathology - Client and a Consultation Report. Send in sufficient cold pack material to maintain temperature.
