Leader in Neonatal Care
The Division of Neonatology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is recognized as a world leader in newborn and infant care. U.S.News & World Report has recognized our neonatal services as #1 in the nation for the past two years.
Multidisciplinary Team
Each year, more than 4,000 babies receive comprehensive, high-quality care from our multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, RNs, developmental therapists and others, in the Harriet and Ronald Lassin Newborn/Infant Intensive Care Unit, in our specialty programs and throughout the CHOP Newborn Care Network.
History of Innovation
CHOP founded the nation’s first surgical ICU for newborns and infants in 1962. Our division has a history of innovation, a commitment to optimal care, and a strong dedication to training future generations of doctors, nurses and other care providers.
Family-focused Care
Committed to family-focused care, we include all members of the healthcare team and the family in discussion related to each patient's diagnosis, treatment plan and progress.
