Welcome to the Harriet and Ronald Lassin Newborn/Infant Intensive Care Unit. Although intensive care may not have been what you anticipated after your baby's birth, we want you to know that your baby is now in the best hands. All of our staff members are experts in newborn intensive care and will give your baby the highly-specialized care he needs around the clock.
Also, we will do our best to anticipate and meet your needs, and include you in all aspects of your baby's care. As parents, you are, and will continue to be, the most important people in your baby's life. You are an important member of your baby's care team, too.
Many of the questions you may have, such as who can see your baby and when, how can you keep in touch with family and friends, where will you sleep and eat, and what are the N/IICU's schedules and routines, are answered in our Newborn/Infant Center Handbook. You can read it online or download it as a handy reference.
You can also find additional information about our Center, staff and services, by following the links below. When you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask us so we can make your N/IIC experience an informed and healing journey.
