Center for Pediatric Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice

Welcome to the Center for Pediatric Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice. Begun in October, 2006, the Center's purpose is to foster a culture of scientific inquiry about nursing practice. Research and EBP initiated by all CHOP nurses, and particularly bedside nurses, are important components of the Center's purpose. We envision that all nursing care for children and families is based on evidence and research.

The Center's nurse researchers, Sharon Jackson Barton, PhD, RN, PCNS-BC, Katherine Finn Davis, PhD, RN, CPNP, and Elizabeth Ely, PhD, RN, support this effort by:

Nursing Research and EBP Grant Award Program

This program is available to any Children's Hospital of Philadelphia nurse in need of funding to carry out a research or EBP project. Awarded three times a year, this program provides up to $3,000 in funding for each successful application.
