Our Professional Practice Model is an organizing framework for nurses and nursing care and the structures and processes that promote professional nursing practice. The CHOP Nursing Professional Practice Model describes the key domains of nursing practice and how nurses and nursing practice support the mission, vision and values of the Department of Nursing and the organization at large.

The Professional Practice Model organizes professional nursing practice into four domains, all of which are essential to the care of patients and families and to the practice of nursing: Clinical Practice, Communication, Collaboration and Professional Development.
