Assistive Technology Clinic

The Assistive Technology Clinic at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia specializes in identifying adaptive technologies to increase an individual's independence in their daily activities.

Once a child understands the concept of "cause and effect," they can use technology to enhance their independence with a minimal amount of effort. This includes the use of adapted toys for play, increasing control over the home environment and accessing a computer at school.

Imagine your child writing an essay simply by moving their eye, navigating the television by pressing a switch or making a phone call by remote control.
