As one of the first pediatric transplant programs in the nation, and a national leader in pediatric blood and marrow transplant (BMT), The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia performs on average more than 60 transplants a year, in patients from newborns to young adults. As of September 2012, a total of 1,298 patients have come through the doors of the BMT unit at CHOP. Below is a snapshot of our blood and marrow transplant volumes.
