The Leonard and Madlyn Abramson Pediatric Research Center

The 1995 opening of The Leonard and Madlyn Abramson Pediatric Research Center provided a new home for the Stokes Institute and nearly doubled the space available for its investigators. Approximately two-thirds of the research conducted at Children's Hospital is dedicated to basic research, while the remaining one-third is clinical research.

The Abramson Research Center supports research by providing state-of-the-art equipment and a laboratory design that maximizes efficiency and supports innovation. Through common areas like informal lounges, the Abramson building also provides the means for collaboration among researchers form various disciplines.

The 440,000 square-foot, 12-story building houses nine floors of laboratories for basic research and one for clinical research, as well as a conference center, kitchen, cafeteria, and two levels of underground parking.
