Orthopaedic Appointments

Making an appointment

If you would like to have your child seen by one of our specialists in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, please call 215-590-1527.

If you need help in determining the most appropriate physician to first evaluate the child, our staff will discuss the case with orthopaedic team members and will contact you directly to set up an appointment.

You will be given information about anything special you need to do before the appointment, such as picking up X-rays from your child's primary physician.

Depending on your insurance coverage, you may need to first get a referral from your child's primary physician. This referral should be taken with you to the appointment with our orthopaedic team member.

The Orthopaedic division offices are located on the second floor of The Richard D. Wood Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center, adjacent to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Main Building. Discounted parking is available in the garage beneath the Wood Center.

You can also make appointments at our Pediatric & Adolescent Specialty Care centers near your home:

Canceling your appointment

Preregistration services

Preregistration helps shorten your waiting time after you arrive for your child's appointment.

Before coming to Children's Hospital, you may be called by a representative from our Preregistration Office. You will be asked for basic information and insurance information related to your child's outpatient visit.

If your child's appointment is more than two weeks away, you may also receive a preregistration form in the mail. Please complete the form and return it as soon as possible in the postage-paid envelope provided. This helps us provide you and your child with efficient and convenient service.
