When your child has feeding or swallowing difficulties, our team of therapists can help. In outpatient clinic, we'll evaluate your child, provide treatment recommendations and monitor progress during follow-up visits.
In addition to Main Campus, The Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Center has clinic services at two of our Pediatric and Adolescent Specialty Care Centers. Our hours and locations are as follows:
Your child's first visit to the outpatient clinic will last for two hours. This gives us time to get to know your child and learn about his needs. During this visit, a physician, speech therapist, occupational therapist, psychologist and nutritionist will meet with your child and prepare a treatment plan. You will get this plan to take home with you when you leave the clinic that day.
We usually recommend a follow-up visit in ten to twelve weeks so we can measure your child's progress and make sure the care plan is working. We will adjust the plan as needed to fit your child's ongoing needs.
Our staff is a team of experts from different specialties who have experience treating children with feeding and swallowing disorders.
