Center Highlights

  • CHOP has established a joint program with The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania to allow healthy adult relatives to donate organ tissue to children with end-stage kidney, liver or lung disease.
  • CHOP has relationships with large national transplant networks, many national and regional insurance companies, and has been successful in negotiating with many out-of-area insurance companies.
  • We provide a range of services to help children and their families cope with the transplantation and recovery process, including access to financial counselors, social workers, case managers, psychologists, child life specialists, physical and occupational therapists, and others who can help with physical, emotional, and financial issues.
