About Trisomy 21
Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) is the most common chromosomal abnormality, occurring once every 800 to 1,000 live births. More than 350,000 people in the United States have Down syndrome. When your child is diagnosed with Trisomy 21, you face a number of challenges that may overwhelm you. Your child is at higher risk for:

- Gastrointestinal abnormalities
