Home Infusion Therapy Services

Home infusion therapy is central to the care many patients receive as part of Children's Hospital Home Care.

If your child needs infusion therapy and/or injectable medications at home, our team of experienced pediatric home care pharmacists and nurses will work with medical and clinical staff to determine the appropriate home therapy and educate your family about the medication or medications your child is receiving, medication side effects, interactions and reactions, as well as medication storage and management. Our team will monitor your child's clinical response to treatment and lab values; and will modify therapies and medications as needed.

Before infusion therapies are started, our pharmacists will help develop a plan of care for your child, screen for pharmaceutical interactions and determine the accurate dosage, medication and timing. Pharmacists work with the rest of your child's Home Care team to monitor the treatment and determine how effective the home infusion therapy is for your child.
