Hanna: Hi, I'm Hanna, and this is Healthy Kids News. Did you know that kids and adults can be role models for each other when it comes to staying healthy? It's good to have a role model to help you do the right things for yourself and your body. If you see others being healthy, then you'll want to do the same things. Adults are healthy role models by exercising with kids. And you can share your favorite physical activities with them. You can also set a good example for your brothers and sisters by letting them see you exercise and inviting them to join in. Adults are also good role models by choosing healthy meals for the family. And when you go for a snack, remember someone may be watching you.
Rebecca Thomas, Nutritionist: For a healthy snack, you could choose yogurt or a fruit like oranges, grapes, or bananas. Don't forgot about vegetables. Eat plenty of them, and remember the brighter the color they are, the better they are for you. Water is great to drink when you are thirsty. Our bodies need water to help us work properly and feel good. Milk is also important because it has calcium, which helps our bones stay strong.
Hanna: So exercise, eating healthy, and good role models; and everyone stays fit. For Healthy Kids News, I'm Hanna.
