Wasif: Hi, I'm Wasif, and this is a Healthy Kids News update. Healthy kids come in all shapes and sizes. And keeping your body at its healthy weight will keep you feeling good.
Dr. Wong: A healthy weight means that you have a healthy body. And when you're overweight, your body doesn't feel very well and it doesn't work as fast as it could. Some kids' bones might hurt. Their bellies might ache. Sometimes your blood might have too much sugar or fat in it that causes problems for your body. And sometimes it might have other problems that need a doctor or a nurse to take a look at them a little bit more carefully.
Every kid has a different healthy weight. It really depends on your age, how tall you are and how much you weigh. So talk to your doctor or nurse, and they can tell you if you are at a healthy weight.
Wasif: Thanks, Dr. Wong. Good advice. For Healthy Kids News, I'm Wasif.
