Outpatient Pre-Visit Financial Counseling Hotline
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia has established a Pre-Visit Office and Financial Counseling Hotline to help address your insurance and billing questions prior to your outpatient visit. This hotline is staffed by financial counselors who can help you with questions you may have before coming for an outpatient visit at any of the Children's Hospital locations.
Hotline questions
The types of questions we can help you with include:
- Does Children's Hospital and its physician practices participate/have a contract with your insurance company?
- Will the outpatient services that you will be receiving be covered by insurance?
- Is your insurance coverage currently valid? Can it be verified?
- Will your outpatient services require a referral and, if so, what information is needed on that referral?
Help with other questions
Questions regarding bills, account balances or payments for care that your child has already received can still be best addressed by the billing offices, but the Pre-Visit Office can also direct you to the appropriate staff to best assist you.
