Researchers from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), the University of Iowa and the Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry were awarded a Collaborative Grant today from Emily’s Entourage (EE), an innovative nonprofit that accelerates research for new therapies and a cure for individuals with cystic fibrosis (CF) who don’t benefit from existing treatments.

Yesterday, more than 2,700 people gathered at the Philadelphia Zoo to celebrate the 28th Annual Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Lori J. Howell Fetal Family Reunion, representing patients and families from across the country. The event, hosted by CHOP’s Richard D. Wood Jr. Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment (CFDT), provides an opportunity for those treated in the Center to reconnect with their care team and other families who share an indescribable bond while having a day of fun at the zoo.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Appoints New Chief of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) has appointed Binita M. Kamath, MB BChir as Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Dr. Kamath has served for the last fifteen years as an attending physician in the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Ontario, Canada. She has been the interim Division Head at SickKids for the last 2 years.
