As Associate Director, Jonathan Hood is responsible for partnering with the Facilities Department, the Office of Community Impact, and the Office of General Counsel to engage local and state officials and agencies on a wide range of efforts in support of the hospital's expansion. He is also responsible for the strategic management of Government Affairs’ resources and expertise in communities throughout the CHOP Care Network to help build a broader base of advocates for CHOP and children. The Associate Director also serves as CHOP’s lead lobbyist in Harrisburg, Trenton and Philadelphia, focusing on identifying governmental budget priorities, addressing regulatory matters that impact operations, and creating opportunities for outreach and education.
Before joining CHOP, Jonathan worked as a legislative aide in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Jonathan holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Temple University and also holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
