Join Our Team: Pediatric Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant Hospital Physicians
The Division of Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is currently seeking full-time hospital physicians (formerly known as hospitalists) to join our team.
Oncology hospital physicians act as front-line clinicians under the guidance of an oncology attending physician. They care for patients with a wide range of disease processes and acuity levels being treated on CHOP’s inpatient general oncology and bone marrow transplant units, both part of CHOP’s internationally recognized Cancer Center. Our pediatric oncologists and support teams have expertise in
- Diagnosis and treatment of every type of pediatric cancer
- Care of children undergoing stem cell transplant, gene therapy and immunotherapy for a wide array of malignant and non-malignant diseases
Oncology hospital physicians with pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship training may also provide coverage for children in our outpatient oncology clinic.
This is an opportunity to pursue a career in a state-of-the-art facility within an academic environment. There is opportunity for growth, teaching residents, involvement in divisional conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and research.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including expenses for continuing medical education (CME).
“I've worked closely with leaders in the Oncology and BMT fields where I have improved my clinical skills in caring for some of the sickest patients outside of the PICU.” Jeffrey Williams, MD
“The rotating schedule allows for sufficient time for academic endeavors and there is ample opportunity to teach residents and fellows.” Stephanie Heidemann, MD
“I've learned a unique skill set where I am managing complex medical issues while helping patients deal with the side effects of chemotherapy and keep them as comfortable as possible.” Lauren Rowe, MD
Requirements
Qualified candidates must be:
