Pediatric Surgery Research
The team in the Division of Pediatric General, Thoracic, and Fetal Surgery are leading experts in the clinical care and management of pediatric patients with complex diseases and disorders. With collaborative integrations and efforts across the various departments at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), our team of investigators is focused on advancing clinical care by developing innovative minimally invasive procedures specific to the unique and challenging surgical problems of children. This includes understanding the basic mechanisms of diseases that require surgery, and investigating a variety of cutting-edge therapies to preventing and treating various conditions and diseases.

Quality improvement in pediatric surgery
The surgeons in the Division of Pediatric General, Thoracic, and Fetal Surgery have developed a quality improvement initiative with the goals of providing effective pediatric care, enhancing and standardizing current clinical and surgical management practices within the organization, and improving overall patient and family satisfaction. Our team strives to implement evidence-based research in order to help support clinical decisions and reduce variability in the care of our patients.
