Two-Year Follow-up Study for TTTS After Selective Laser Photocoagulation

Principal Investigator: Nahla Khalek, MD, MPH

Monochorionic pregnancies complicated by twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) who have undergone laser therapy in utero at the Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment have the opportunity to participate in a follow-up study.

The purpose of this study is to determine two-year neurodevelopmental and cardiac outcomes of patients who underwent laser surgery for TTTS.

Recent outcomes published by this ongoing study report that monochorionic twins who underwent in utero laser surgery for TTTS are likely to show normal neurodevelopmental outcomes at age 2.
