Early Mobility for Toddlers with Cerebral Palsy

The Center for Rehabilitation at CHOP is conducting a study to learn how two different types of physical therapy affect motor development in toddlers who have or may have cerebral palsy. Children between the ages of 12-36 months with cerebral palsy or motor delay who can initiate pulling to stand, but are not yet able to walk may be eligible. Participants are randomly assigned to one of two types of physical therapy. All participants attend physical therapy 3 times per week for at least 12 weeks at CHOP. Testing occurs every 6 weeks and includes gross motor evaluation, balance testing and parent questionnaires. Participants will be paid modest compensation.
