Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Courses

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) courses are designed to teach and review the lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a team leader in either an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting.

ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.

  • ACLS Provider — An advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this initial two-day course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.
  • ACLS Renewal — An advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this one-day course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.
  • ACLS Heartcode — A web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and treat cardiopulmonary arrest in adults. This program uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings.
