Follow-Up Lab Guidance
- PCP orders CBC, Hematology referral is not required
- Do not stop iron therapy until the etiology of IDA is identified and addressed
- Ongoing dietary challenges—determine maintenance dosing, NIH Recommended Iron Intake
- Hematology Consult Indications
