About Christina Comenos, MSW, LCSW
Christina Comenos, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with the Richard D. Wood Jr. Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment (CFDT) and the Garbose Family Special Delivery Unit at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, caring for families facing a serious birth defect.
Christina obtained her BS in Human Development/Child Life from Wheelock College, completing internships at Shriners Children’s Boston, Great Ormand Street Hospital for Children in London, England and Tufts Children’s Hospital (formerly Floating Hospital for Children). While obtaining her MSW at Simmons College, she completed a yearlong internship on Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s Inpatient Palliative Care Unit.
Christina obtained her LCSW in 2002 and has spent the past 25+ years supporting individuals and families across the life span navigate the complexities of trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, poverty, chronic stress and life transitions. Prior to coming to CHOP, Christina was the Director of Counseling Services for Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Greater Philadelphia.
