Julia has many years of experience in community behavioral health, where she was a case manager, a teen parenting class instructor, a school based resource specialist, a therapist for women in recovery from addiction, and a Family Based Therapist. Throughout the years she worked at the following agencies: Congreso de Latinos Unidos, Chances, Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and the Public Health Management Corporation.  Julia has worked on two different research projects at Temple University while getting her dual MSW/MPH. Julia has also worked on the Kids Safe and Smoke Free RCT smoking cessation study and an exploratory research project in India, about help seeking behaviors for women experiencing domestic violence.
