Brain Imaging Study of Minimally-Verbal/Nonverbal Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Children with Developmental/Intellectual Disability


The Lurie Family Foundations MEG Imaging Lab at CHOP are looking for minimally/nonverbal children with ASD and those with an intellectual or developmental delay without ASD who may or may not be minimally/nonverbal for a study on how the brain works. We are looking for both male and female children between the ages of 8-12 years old and infants 4 to 18 months of age. The study involves two visits to CHOP. The first visit can last up to 2 to 5 hours (depending on Cohort group) and will involve neuropsychological/developmental testing. The second visit can last up to 2-3 hours depending on Cohort group and will consist of an MEG brain imaging scan. We will provide you with reimbursement for your time and parking.
