The increasing number of acutely ill and injured pediatric patients presenting to Emergency Departments and offices requires that emergency physicians, pediatric emergency physicians, pediatricians, family physicians, pediatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants be prepared to assess, diagnose and expertly treat a wide variety of pediatric emergencies. Diagnostic and therapeutic practices continue to evolve, and patient care recommendations and guidelines continue to improve.

This course will feature state-of-the-art teaching formats, including evidence-based lectures, workshops and simulation in procedural skills, resuscitation, and diagnostic reasoning.
