Neonates with congenital birth defects needing surgery require very specialized care. Understanding the unique needs of these babies is imperative throughout the perioperative period. Advances in prenatal diagnosis and treatment have allowed us to plan and anticipate the needs of these very specialized patients before and after birth.

This two-day conference will provide continuing education on exciting and innovative care of the surgical neonate from prenatal diagnosis to postnatal management. The presentations will address topics spanning from the postnatal care of infants with complicated surgical issues, including post-discharge care coordination.

The conference is for nurses, advanced practice nurses, and other medical staff that care for this neonatal surgical population.
