CHOP Studio: From Local Insights to Transferable Knowledge: Advancing Scholarship through Program Evaluation and Innovation informed by Design Thinking

Scholarship in health professions education extends beyond traditional research, which aims to generate new knowledge through answering a research question. This 2-day Studio course, led by national experts, focuses on program evaluation and innovation informed by design thinking. Scholarship in program evaluation and innovation begins with challenges identified in specific contexts. When built on existing knowledge, theoretically grounded, systematically designed and rigorously executed, these types of scholarship can generate knowledge that not only addresses issues in local contexts but also transferable knowledge for the broader field of health professions education.
